IPS provides training, technical assistance and project leadership in innovative prevention techniques  and media advocacy.  Below are a few examples of IPS projects.
Border Project || Proyecto Fronterizo
Project to reduce public health and safety problems related to US teen and binge drinking in Tijuana and Rosarito Beach, Mexico. 
East County Community Change Project
Working with youth, families and communities in East San Diego County to reduce alcohol and other drug abuse. (PHAST)
Vitality San Diego - Advancing health, safety, business & quality of life within urban redevelopment.  Proactively addressing alcohol & illegal drugs-related environmental issues, and facilitating neighborhood risk management.

Past Projects


South Bay High Intensity Prevention Zone  A partnership of youth, community and law enforcement addressing alcohol-related traffic issues on a regional basis.
STEP (Solutions for Treatment Expansion Project) — STEP is a social education and community action project advanced through media advocacy to promote placement and expansion of residential alcohol and drug treatment beds throughout San Diego County.
San Diego East County Rural  Combating rural under age drinking . . . a demonstration project.

Project TRAC — Targeted Reduction of Alcohol/Drug Related Crashes —  a collaborative, multi-disciplinary educational campaign to reduce injuries and fatalities associated with alcohol and drug-impaired driving in San Diego County. 
IHA in Orange County — Program to provide training and technical assistance for prevention projects dealing with alcohol, tobacco and other drug problems and solutions in Orange County, California. Website includes events, bulletins, briefings, public information, newsmaking and includes 6 issues of the Orange County Newsmaker. 
Community Solutions for Ventura County — Providing leadership, training and support for the community health and safety of Ventura County. Communities use the environmental prevention model to reduce the extent and severity of alcohol and drug problems.
ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug) Training and Technical Assistance Project -  This project serves to increase the capacity of prevention organizations and their key partners to conduct effective campaigns. It uses the environmental prevention model to develop an operational, cohesive, knowledge-based system in San Diego.
Bozeman Underage Drinking Reduction Project to increase the Bozeman community's capacity and readiness to adopt policy changes that will reduce underage alcohol consumption.
