In the environmental prevention approach, the APPLIED DATA & RESEARCH component identifies the magnitude of the problem and guides intervention planning throughout the campaign.

Data collection supports the need for community interventions and can demonstrate change that occurs.

Apartment Survey — A survey was distributed to apartment managers and owners throughout East San Diego County to better understand the problems of drug use, domestic violence and gang related activity that managers of multi-housing units often have to deal with. — Apartment Survey Results
