Science and Tools

Scientific data collection and analysis play  key roles in the project.  Teams have been collecting information at the border since  1997.  The teams survey  pedestrians and drivers  that are U.S. residents returning from Tijuana.
  • Evaluation of problem and intervention process
  • Information base for media advocacy/public information
  • Credibility in international environment where cultures and languages differ, but data provides a common language
  • Upgraded community certainty of problem identity and appropriateness of intervention
