What's News

Project TRAC drinking & driving prevention at Mission Beach, where DUI crashes & fatalities are a major problem. Demonstration of "self-serve safety sticks," or tongue depressors, that beach-goers can voluntarily use to test themselves for intoxication before getting behind the wheel. The safety sticks change color if a person’s blood alcohol level is too high to drive. Public health & safety advocates gave  out safety sticks, prevention fliers and "crashes aren’t accidents" key rings to drivers as reminders not to turn on the ignition if you’ve had too much to drink.
